Manor Lords: Battle Tips Sharing
  1. In the case of bandits, the first wave consists of two groups. If you only have one fully equipped spearman without helmet and armor, you won’t be able to win. Losing to bandits will result in your house being set on fire, but it’s actually not that bad. The second wave of bandits consists of four groups. You can defeat them if you have two fully equipped pikemen along with the five retainers provided by the manor. It is crucial to loot the bodies after the battle; failing to do so will lower the people’s morale significantly.
  2. Once you have earned enough influence, you can claim that the territory on the map has been an integral part of yours since ancient times. However, be aware that other lords will send troops to attack you, at least two waves of troops. Among them, the most challenging are the lord’s retainers. Therefore, make sure to hire soldiers before engaging in combat.
  3. Hiring a lord’s retainer costs 50 coins from the treasury. You can customize the appearance or weapons of each retainer, but it is uncertain whether this affects their combat attributes.
  4. For the militia, all they need to go into battle is a shield (regardless of size), a weapon, and manpower. If there are helmets and armor available domestically, they will automatically put them on.
  5. When it comes to mercenaries, as long as there is about 50 coins in the treasury, you can hire them. They usually stay for the duration of the battle, and if you want to save money, you can dismiss them after the fight. However, be cautious not to claim land immediately after dismissing them, as you may be attacked.
