Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Analysis of Tweyen’s Strength and Skill Selection

Tweyen is not particularly strong in terms of damage output in the current version of Granblue Fantasy Relink, but she can be considered adequate.

Regarding the X1X2X3 triple arrow attack, most Tweyen players should be familiar with it. In my personal experience, it’s important to charge these three arrows regardless of which combo you are using. Under normal gear conditions, charging the arrows can increase their damage from 20,000 to 80,000. The number of arrows fired in the X1X2X3 combo increases incrementally, leading to even greater damage potential. While Tweyen can achieve almost instant charging with her exclusive skills, it’s still necessary to hold down the button for charging – spamming the X button offers very low returns.

As for combo selection:

• C1 combo is suitable for mobility, allowing you to approach or distance yourself from enemies. However, it doesn’t provide invincibility during the movement, so it’s better to avoid using C1 as a substitute for dodging in emergency situations.
• C2 combo is ideal for close combat and offers the highest theoretical damage output.
• C3 combo is best for ranged attacks, dealing maximum damage against small enemies and providing the highest arrow slot increment.

Tweyen’s advantage lies in her long-range lock-on attacks similar to Io’s, but she may face difficulties hitting moving targets at long range (which is a common issue for this type of character). However, Tweyen can be played in various styles, such as focusing on long-range attacks, switching between long and close-range combat as a ranger, or even tanking by shoving arrows into the boss’s mouth. This versatility is where Tweyen’s core fun lies.

Skill selection:

• Fallen Arrow Rain (Great Arrow Storm): A skill with a cooldown of 180 seconds that applies multiple debuffs and can contribute significantly to survival and enhancing certain characters’ abilities. While its damage output may seem low, the poison and burn effects can deal substantial damage, especially against large enemies.
• Fatal Strike: A must-have offensive skill with a cooldown of 45 seconds that increases arrow slots and provides high damage output.
• Scatter Shot: A mobility skill with a cooldown of 10 seconds suitable for close-range combat, but not recommended for maximizing damage output in those situations.
• Arcane Scatter: An ultimate skill with a cooldown of 10 seconds that excels against large enemies in close combat and increases arrow slots based on the number of hits.
